The Bora was a milestone in Maserati's history: it was the first Maserati road car with a mid-mounted engine. It was also the first vehicle developed under the direction of the new owner - Citroën.

The Maserati Indy was a four-seater sports car. It was the last Maserati to be developed and unveiled before Citroën took over the factory.

The Merak was Maserati's attempt to establish a more affordable vehicle below the brand's large eight-cylinder models.

The Khamsin appeared during an economically difficult time for Maserati. It was the last newly developed vehicle for which Maserati used technical components from Citroën. Today it is regarded as the most underrated classic Maserati.
