Maserati Merak

The Merak was Maserati's answer to the oil crisis, which severely restricted the sale of vehicles with large engines. The Bora's little brother used a modified version of the type C.114 engine that Maserati had developed for Citroën. The combination of its sensational Italdesign bodywork and the more economical engine made the Merak a genuine bestseller.
