Maserati Indy | Ghibli | Mexico

The Indy, named in honour of Maserati's two victories at the Indianapolis 500, which in fact dated back to 1939 and 1940, was first shown by Maserati as a prototype with bodywork by Alfredo Vignale at the 1968 Turin Motor Show.

The first Maserati Ghibli was unveiled in autumn 1966. It was a two-seater coupé with a fastback body, designed by Giorgio Giugiaro.

After the 5000 GT and the Quattroporte, the Mexico the third road car from Maserati to use a civilised version of the V8 racing engine from the 450S sports prototype racing car.
