«The good one» Englebert was a Belgian tyre manufacturer that was taken over by Continental in 1979. Englebert became well known in the 1950s for its successful involvement in international motorsport. The tyre manufacturer was long Ferrari's favourite partner, winning the World Championship title in 1956 with Juan Manuel Fangio, among others.
John Norman Surtees was a British racing driver.
He is the only driver in history to have become world champion in both the motorcycle world championship and Formula 1. He also owned his own Formula 1 racing team (Surtees Racing Organisation). His son Henry Surtees was also a racing driver.
Jackie Stewart is considered one of the best drivers ever to have sat in a Formula 1 racing car.
The Company Firestone Tire & Rubber Company was founded in 1900 by Harvey Samuel Firestone in Akron, Ohio, as a 12-man operation producing pneumatic tyres. The founder's family descended from Germans from Alsace named Feuerstein, who emigrated to America in 1753.
Whistling and hissing, the first turbocharged engine enters Formula 1 in 1977. At the British Grand Prix in Silverstone the Renault engine promptly earns itself the nickname "kettle".
The company logo features a black, fire-breathing dog with six legs on a yellow background. The imaginary animal's six legs represent the driver's two legs and a car's four wheels.
Bernd Rosemeyer. Beyond the motorway on-ramp heading towards Darmstadt, at a clearing in the forest, the car was probably caught by a gust of wind and pushed left onto the motorway's central verge. The car went into a spin and rolled over several times, throwing Rosemeyer out of the car into the forest, where he died instantly.
Jody Scheckter remains to this day the only driver to have won a race in a six-wheeled car, the Tyrrell P34.

At the Austrian GP in Zeltweg, Shadow driver Alan Jones suddenly moved to the front from 14th on the grid and never relinquished the lead, as Lauda ran into increasing tyre trouble.
