Ferrari 550 Maranello

The 550 Maranello was presented to the press in 1996 at the Nürburgring. The car was the prancing horse manufacturer's answer to all those who believed that a car with a front-mounted V12 engine could not beat a mid-rear-engined sports car. As successor to the F512M, the 550 Maranello was faster and, thanks to its front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, considerably more practical.
