&#171;Teardrop&#187; fotografieren und vermessen zu d\u00fcrfen. Da steigt der Puls eines Modellbauers und die Freude ein solches Meisterwerk als Modell nachzuzeichnen ist riesengross, aber gleichzeitig auch eine Herausforderung und Verpflichtung diesem anspruchsvollen Projekt gerecht zu werden.<br \/>\nDieses Fahrzeug ist, da sind sich viele Experten rund um den Globus einig, schon gar nicht mehr mit den sonst f\u00fcr Automobile geltenden Massst\u00e4ben zu werten. Der Talbot-Lago mit der von den ber\u00fchmten franz\u00f6sischen Blechschneidern Figoni &#038; Falaschi gefertigten Karosserie ist ein Erscheinungsbild wie von einem anderen Stern. Das Auto ist schlicht das, was man heute als &#171;state oft the art&#187; bezeichnen w\u00fcrde. Als Talbot 1937 auf dem Pariser Auto Salon das Coup\u00e9 erstmals pr\u00e4sentierte, wurden die Betrachter sofort in fast atemlose Begeisterung versetzt. Schon bald entstanden die Begriffe &#171;goutte d\u2019eau&#187; (Wassertropfen) und &#171;teardrop coup\u00e9&#187; (Tr\u00e4nen Coup\u00e9) die beide nie offiziell verwendet wurden, der aussergew\u00f6hnlichen Form aber treffend die passenden Worte verliehen. Alles an diesem faszinierenden Fahrzeug und jedes Detail zeugt von tiefer Liebe zur Formgebung und passendem Beiwerk. Jede Linie, jede Leiste unterst\u00fctzt die Wirkung ohne dabei aufdringlich zu erscheinen. Dieses Auto ist eine harmonische Einheit \u2013 von den schmalen vorderen Kotfl\u00fcgeln bis zum verchromten Auspuff-Endst\u00fcck. Dazu kommt noch ein luxuri\u00f6s ausgestatteter Innenraum mit kunstvoller Verarbeitung von edlem Holz und vornehmem Leder.<br \/>\nUnter der Motorhaube des Coup\u00e9s arbeitet ein seidenweich laufender Sechszylinder-Reihenmotor der je nach Ausf\u00fchrung zwischen 140 und 160 PS leistet. Ein kr\u00e4ftiges Drehmoment garantiert einen energischen Anzug und gute Beschleunigungswerte. Nicht einmal 20 dieser Autos \u2013 wobei sich jedes einzelne in kaum wahrnehmbaren oder auch gr\u00f6sseren und auff\u00e4lligeren Details unterschied \u2013 entstanden zwischen 1937-1939. Nur noch ca. ein Viertel dieser eindrucksvollen Fahrzeuge sind heute noch bekannt, als Zeugen einer lang vergangenen Zeit, als Form noch \u00fcber alles ging.<br \/>\nSchon damals nur sehr wohlhabenden Menschen zug\u00e4nglich, fand der Talbot Lago 150C-SS jedoch auch den Weg auf die grossen Rennstrecken der Welt. Dort konnte das franz\u00f6sische Luxusgef\u00e4hrt mit Siegen und Erfolgen auch unter h\u00e4rtesten Bedingungen \u00fcberzeugen.<br \/>\nDie franz\u00f6sischen Rennfahrer Philippe de Massa und Norbert Jean Mah\u00e9 pilotierten diesen Talbot Lago 150C-SS mit der Startnummer 8 f\u00fcr das britische Rennteam T.A.S.O. Mathieson beim 24 Stunden Rennen in Le Mans im Juni 1939, der letzten Veranstaltung vor Ausbruch des 2. Weltkrieges.<br \/>\nEine anstrengende und materialmordende Hatz \u00fcber den damals 13,492 Kilometer langen Kurs an der Sarthe verlangte den beiden Piloten ihr ganzes K\u00f6nnen ab.
